Large Wood Fired Vase 1

This Lady is hand thrown and sculpted, and kissed by wood ash and salt, producing a natural and earthy look. She measures around 10" tall and is perfect for a bouquet of flowers or simply on her own. The nature of wood firing ensures that no two pieces will ever look the same. Her freckles are made from flashing slip painted on before firing in a Catanary Arch kiln at the Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts in Newcastle, Maine.
