Wood-Fired Collection

This collection of work has been wood-fired, an 18-hour process consisting of stoking a large catenary arch kiln with wood, vaporizing 25lbs of rock salt inside of it, and controlling heat temps and flame paths. The flame paths, salt and ash build up and color pattern on my work are mostly out of my control in these firings - making each piece beautifully unique.
